As part of our ongoing initiative to help our users engage with giving back to their community, we’re working with Green Ribbon to help fund artistic outlets for local troubled youth.

See our last competition where our lucky winner didn’t just win a $100 WhyQ voucher but spread the love by donating 100 meals to frontline staff working hard to keep our community safe.

Contest Rules for October:

Make a deposit of $200 (our minimum) or more with DeZy between 15th October and 31st October 2021. Learn more about DeZy. 

We will get in touch with the winner on the 1st of November.

Prizes:

1. We will donate $500 on the behalf of the winner to help support underprivileged youth in manufacturing artwork for sale on Project Green Ribbon. 

2. You get to keep one of the art pieces you funded, to remember your contribution to mental wellbeing for youth.

What is the Project Green Ribbon?

Project Green Ribbon (PGR) is a purpose-driven organization that is dedicated to empowering and educating individuals on the importance of building mental resilience and eradicating social stigma on mental health in our society. The organization hopes to give a voice to the unheard, be a pillar of support and hope to those struggling. 

As part of their pilot initiative, The Unheard, PGR is supporting local youth artists to present and market their art pieces centred on mental health, to build a more inclusive society.

Mental Health Statistics in Singapore

• More than half of the youth population, or 52%, reported that they struggled with mental health issues

• 1 out of 7 Singaporeans will experience a mental health disorder in their lifetime, and more than three-quarters did not seek any professional help.

• Youths between 18 – 34 years old are identified as the most vulnerable group – one in five would have experienced a mental disorder in their lifetime.

• As a result of Covid-19 pandemic, more than half of youth surveyed said their mental health has worsened. However, only 41 percent were comfortable discussing about their mental health.
  
• The top stress mentioned by youths was:
  
  • anxiety over the future (53%)
  • stress over finances (41%)
  • and worries about academic or work performance (39%).
